Im Antelope Valley California Poppy State Natural Reserve nördlich von Los Angeles steht Kalifornischer Mohn (Eschscholzia californica) in voller Blüte. Die auch als Goldmohn bekannte Blume ist seit 1903 die offizielle Staatsblume des US-Bundesstaats Kalifornien.
