Eigentlich ist es streng verboten, ein Handy ins "Tagesschau"-Studio mitzunehmen. Doch Sprecher Jan Hofer ignorierte das. Denn die "Tagesschau" wollte ihren Followern bei Instagram etwas Wichtiges mitteilen.
Millionen Zuschauer trauten am Donnerstagabend ihren Augen nicht: Am Ende der 20-Uhr-"Tagesschau" nahm Sprecher Jan Hofer im Studio ein Smartphone in die Hand und machte ein Selfie. Davor hatte er wie üblich einen Ausblick auf die späteren "Tagesthemen" gegeben und "Ich wünsche Ihnen noch einen schönen Abend" gesagt.
Wenige Minuten später meldete sich Jan Hofer dann mit einem Filmchen auf dem Instagram -Account der "Tagesschau", wo er erklärte, dass er ausnahmsweise ein Handy mit ins Studio genommen habe, weil die "Tagesschau" nun eine Million Fans, sogenannte Follower, in dem sozialen Netzwerk habe.

Hofer sagte: "Guten Abend, meine Damen und Herren, bei Instagram. Gerade eben ist unsere Hauptausgabe, die 20-Uhr-Ausgabe der "Tagesschau", zu Ende gegangen. Und normalerweise ist es streng verboten, ein Handy mit ins Studio zu nehmen und hier zu benutzen, aber heute ist das mal egal. Warum? Wir haben eine Million Instagram-Follower, und wir freuen uns sehr darüber. Also wir zeigen keine Urlaubsfotos, wir zeigen keine Fotos vom Essen und keine Strandfotos – wir machen Nachrichten. Und dass so viele Menschen unseren Nachrichten folgen, das macht uns auch ein bisschen stolz und wir freuen uns sehr darüber. Also: herzlichen Dank."
Viel Lob von Followern und Zuschauern
Viele Instagram-Follower fanden lobende Worte für Hofer und die "Tagesschau". Sie kommentierten das Video zum Beispiel mit "Ehrenmann", "Vielen Dank für die tolle journalistische Arbeit die Sie tagtäglich leisten!" oder auch einfach "Danke Ihnen!"
Erst vor Kurzem machte eine Panne bei der "Tagesschau" Schlagzeilen. Ein Gespräch zwischen Hofer und dem Moderator Claus-Erich Boetzkes konnte versehentlich von den Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauern mitgehört werden. Boetzkes fragte darin Hofer scherzhaft, ob er die Achsen seines Autos verstärkt habe, um seine Honorare wegfahren zu können. Später fragte Boetzkes während des scherzhaften Schlagabtausches unter Kollegen sogar: "Warum arbeitest du hier noch, Alter? Warum?"
