Kevin James und Leah Remini passen einfach perfekt zusammen. Das finden zumindest viele Fans der Serie "King of Queens". In "Kevin Can Wait" stehen die beiden Schauspieler nun wieder zusammen vor der Kamera.
Darauf haben viele Fans gewartet. Traum-Paar Kevin James , 52, und Leah Remini, 47, sind endlich wieder glücklich vereint. Der neueste Instagram-Schnappschuss der Schauspielerin zeigt, wie das "King of Queens"-Dreamteam wieder gemeinsam vor der Kamera steht. Das Bild entstand nach ihren ersten Drehtagen: "Es war eine tolle erste Woche am Set von 'Kevin Can Wait'."

Nach "King of Queens" folgt "Kevin Can Wait"
Von 1998 bis 2007 spielten Kevin James und Leah Remini ein Ehepaar. Als "Carrie" und "Doug" spielten sie sich in die Herzen der Zuschauer und machten die US-Serie "King of Queens" zum Erfolgsmodell. Jetzt, zehn Jahre später, steht das Kult-TV-Paar wieder gemeinsam vor der Kamera - für die Serie "Kevin Can Wait". Ein Starttermin für Amazon Prime Deutschland wurde noch nicht festgesetzt, in den USA läuft bereits die zweite Staffel im September an. In der Serie übernimmt Kevin James die Rolle des pensionierten Polizisten "Kevin Gable". Um seinen ehemaligen Kollegen einen Gefallen zu tun, schlüpft er aber noch einmal in die Rolle des Ermittlers. Undercover ist er der Ehemann von Polizistin "Vanessa Cellucci", die von Leah Remini gespielt wird.
Sender schrieb Drehbuch für Wiedervereinigung um
Für die Wiedervereinigung des Serien-Traumpaares musste sich die CBS-Produzenten allerdings einiges einfallen lassen. In der ersten Staffel hatte Leah Remini nämlich nur einen Gastauftritt. In der zweiten Staffel sollte sie neben Kevin James die zweite Hauptrolle spielen. Dafür mussten das Drehbruch grundlegend umgeschrieben werden, denn in der ersten Staffel war James noch mit der von Erinn Hayes gespielten "Donna" verheiratet.
Für CBS dürfte sich die ungewöhnliche Entscheidung lohnen, denn schon jetzt fiebern Fans dem Start der zweiten Staffel und der Wiedervereinigung des TV-Paares entgegen. Mehr als 85.000 Mal wurde das Foto geliked, die Kommentarspalte ist mit Vorfreude gefüllt.
