Diese Nachricht kam für viele überraschend: Zu Beginn des Jahres verkündete Lena Meyer-Landrut die Trennung von ihrem Freund Max von Helldorff . Seit 2011 waren die Sängerin und der Basketballer ein Paar. "Bevor es von der Presse thematisiert oder anderweitig nach außen getragen wird, möchte ich euch hier kurz mitteilen, dass Max und ich nicht mehr zusammen sind. Ich bin für die letzten 8 Jahre unglaublich dankbar und freue mich all das mit in eine neue Zukunft nehmen zu können", schrieb die 28-Jährige damals auf Instagram.

Wie nah ihr das Liebes-Aus wirklich ging zeigt nun ein Video, das Meyer-Landrut veröffentlicht hat. Darin ist die ESC-Gewinnerin tränenüberströmt im Tonstudio zu sehen. "Vielleicht trifft man ja nochmal jemanden, wo man das nochmal glaubt. Weil ich wirklich dachte, dass es für immer ist", sagt sie. Und weiter: "Wenn man es einmal gemerkt hat und dann durchzieht, ist es auch befreiend. Aber es tut mir auch leid, weil ich es ja nicht geplant habe."

Das rund vierminütige Video dokumentiert den Entstehungsprozess zu Lenas Song "Love", der auf ihrem Album "Only Love, L", erschienen ist. In der Ballade heißt es: "I should have known that love isn't always the same / Don't wanna walk away, but I just can't stay".
Die 28-Jährige schildert, wie sie die schwere Zeit der Trennung genutzt hat, um ihre Emotionen in der Musik zu verarbeiten und neue Songs zu schaffen. "Irgendwie sind die schweren Zeiten doch die guten Zeiten. Ich glaube, alles ist für etwas gut und dass die schweren Zeiten wichtig und essenziell sind und unbedingt notwendig für Kunst", lautet Lenas Fazit. Ihre Fans können auf noch mehr private Einblicke hoffen, denn das Video trägt den Titel "Love // Folge 1". Klingt ganz danach, als würden weitere Clips folgen.
