Fertig machen für den großen Auftritt: Drei Jahre nach ihrem oscarprämierten Auftritt in dem Film "A Star is Born" ist Lady Gaga demnächst wieder in einer Hauptrolle zu sehen. Pünktlich dazu ist sie auf das Cover der britischen "Vogue" erhoben worden. In dem Fotoshooting für das Modemagazin ist die Künstlerin auch hüllenlos und unretouchiert zu sehen.

Die Musikerin erscheint jedoch nicht nur auf dem Cover der britischen "Vouge". Wie das Magazin bekanntgab, ziert Lady Gaga auch das italienischen Titelblatt des Modemagazins. "Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte", wie es auf Instagram heißt.
Anlass ist die bevorstehende Premiere von Ridley Scotts neuem Film "House of Gucci". In dem Kriminalfilm über den Tod des Modezars Maurizio Gucci spielt Lady Gaga die Hauptrolle der Patrizia Reggiani. Gucci war 1995 auf offener Straße von einem Auftragsmörder erschossen worden. Drei Jahre später wurde Guccis Exfrau Reggiani vor Gericht für schuldig befunden, den Auftrag erteilt zu haben, und zu 16 Jahren Haft verurteilt. Maurizio Gucci wird in dem Film von Adam Driver gespielt.

Im Gespräch mit der "Vogue" berichtet die als Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta geborene Künstlerin davon, dass sie diese Rolle der eiskalten Exfrau, die aus Geldgier, Neid und Hass gehandelt habe, an den Rand der Dunkelheit gebracht hat.
Lady Gaga in "House of Gucci"
Der Film startet am 24. November in den amerikanischen Kinos, in Deutschland soll er ab dem 2. Dezember zu sehen sein. "House of Gucci" ist mit zahlreichen Stars besetzt. Neben Gaga und Driver sind unter anderem Jared Leto, Al Pacino und Jeremy Irons als Mitglieder der Gucci-Familie zu sehen. In einer Nebenrolle als neapolitanische Kartenlegerin und Weissagerin wirkt auch Salma Hayek mit.
Die Handlung basiert auf dem 2001 erschienenen Buch "The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed" von Sara Gay Forden aus dem Jahr 2001, das in Deutschland unter dem Titel "GUCCI: Mode, Mord und Business" erschienen ist.
