Paris Hilton hat einen neuen Hausbewohner: Er heißt Zuzu und ist ein Opfer der Brände in Los Angeles. Hilton half in einem Tierheim aus und nahm einen Schützling mit nach Hause.
Paris Hilton, selbst Millionen-Erbin der Hotelkette Hilton, ist für ihren glitzernden Upper-Class-Lifestyle bekannt. Dass sie auch anders kann, bewies sie nun als Hilfskraft in einem Tierheim. Denn die Waldbrand-Katastrophe in Los Angeles hat auch für unzählige Vierbeiner Folgen.
Tiere lagen Paris Hilton schon immer am Herzen. Sie selbst besaß bereits unzählige Hunde , die sogar ein Hunde-Haus im Garten ihr Eigen nennen konnten. Sage und schreibe 325.000 Dollar soll die Hunde-Villa gekostet haben.

Hiltons Tierliebe war es, die sie jetzt in einen Pulli und eine Jeans schlüpfen und während der Brände von Los Angeles im Tierheim mit anpacken ließ. "Gestern hatte ich das Privileg, ehrenamtlich die inspirierende Arbeit in meiner Heimatstadt Los Angeles zu unterstützen", schrieb sie in einem Instagram-Posting. Das einstige It-Girl drehte zudem ein Video, um eine Katze mit Chip-Nummer wieder an ihre Besitzer vermitteln zu können.

In dem Flammeninferno von Los Angeles sind auch viele Tiere in den Flammen ums Leben gekommen, haben ihr Zuhause verloren oder wurden von ihren Besitzern getrennt. Viele haben in Tierheimen oder Tierklinken eine vorläufige Zuflucht gefunden.
Hilton hatte die Idee, ihre Social-Media-Reichweite zu nutzen, um bei der Vermittlung der Tiere an ihre eigentlichen Besitzer oder an interessierte Pflegehaushalte zu unterstützen. Auf dem Video kuschelt sie innig mit der Katze im Käfig. Diese rollt und aalt sich, genießt sichtlich die Streicheleinheiten ihrer Promi-Pflegerin. "Der Tag war so eine krasse Erinnerung daran, dass wir alle die Kraft haben, Lebewesen in Not zu helfen, oder zu spenden, was man kann", schreibt Hilton.

Die 43-Jährige ging auch gleich mit gutem Beispiel voran und nahm einen Pflege-Hund bei sich auf. Der Kleine hört auf den Namen Zuzu und wurde von seiner Familie im Tierheim abgegeben, weil diese ihr Zuhause durch die Waldbrände verloren hat. "Wenn ihr könnt, denkt bitte darüber nach, Tieren in Not ein vorübergehendes oder dauerhaftes Zuhause zu geben", bittet Hilton.
