Der langjährige Moderator Alexander Bommes wird die Zuschauer bald deutlich seltener zur "Sportschau" begrüßen. Aber die ARD hat bereits Ersatz gefunden.
Die "Sportschau" bekommt ein neues Gesicht: Die ARD verpflichtet Alex Schlüter als Moderator, der zuletzt bei Prime Video bei den Live-Übertragungen der Champions League im Einsatz war. Der 40-Jährige gehört ab der kommenden Saison in der Fußball-Bundesliga zum Moderatorenteam und ersetzt Alexander Bommes , der seine Einsätze in der "Sportschau" künftig reduzieren möchte. Das teilte die ARD mit.

"Schon als kleiner Junge saß ich mit großen Augen vor dem Fernseher und habe die ARD-'Sportschau ' quasi aufgesogen – mittlerweile bin ich um einige Zentimeter gewachsen, und die ARD steht unverändert für besondere Sportmomente und echte Emotionen", sagte Schlüter in der Pressemitteilung. Er wolle seine "ganze Leidenschaft und Erfahrung einbringen" und gehe "mit Respekt vor der Geschichte und voller Vorfreude" an die Arbeit. ARD-Sportkoordinator Axel Balkausky sagte, er freue sich auf "einen sympathischen, eloquenten und vielseitigen Moderator".
Schlüter war erst im Vorjahr zu Amazon Prime gewechselt. Davor hatte er acht Jahre für den Streaminganbieter DAZN gearbeitet. Auch dort hatte er Spiele der Champions League, aber auch der Bundesliga präsentiert. Auch für ProSiebenMaxx und MagentaSport war Schlüter bereits im Einsatz.

Alexander Bommes nimmt Abschied vom Livesport
Bommes wird zwar Teil der Bundesliga-"Sportschau" bleiben, künftig aber nur noch reduziert moderieren und sich stattdessen auf seine Aufgaben abseits des Sports konzentrieren. Vom Livesport verabschiedet er sich komplett.
"Die Entscheidung, mich nach so schönen und auch einzigartigen 15 Jahren aus dem sportlichen Tagesgeschäft zurückzuziehen, ist mir sehr schwergefallen", sagte Bommes, der unter anderem bei großen Turnieren im Handball im Einsatz war: "Aber nach all dem Erlebten ist jetzt ein Zeitpunkt gekommen, an dem ich weitergehen und andere Schwerpunkte setzen möchte."
