Der FC. St Pauli wird bei seinem Heimspiel gegen den FC Magdeburg am Sonntag mit einem besonderen Trikot auflaufen. An der Stelle, wo beim FC Bayern oder dem BVB ein Meisterstern eingenäht ist, strahlt beim Kiezklub nun ein Gendersternchen.
Fußball-Zweitligist FC St. Pauli wird im Spiel gegen den 1. FC Magdeburg mit einem Sondertrikot auflaufen. Auf dem Shirt ist über dem Vereinsemblem ein Gendersternchen zu sehen. Der Club pflegt mit der Aktion wieder einmal sein Image und gibt einmal mehr ein Statement zu einem gesellschaftspolitischen Thema ab. Die Hamburger spielen am Sonntag (13.30 Uhr/Sky) gegen den Aufsteiger aus Magdeburg.

"Wo bei anderen Clubs der Meisterstern prangt, strahlt bei uns das Sternchen des Nordens", sagte Präsident Oke Göttlich laut Mitteilung vom Freitag. "Bereits seit zwei Jahren ist unsere Satzung gegendert, im Sprach- und Schriftverkehr nutzen wir den Genderstern regelmäßig." Beim FC St. Pauli sei das Alltag. Man erkenne aber an "einigen Meinungsäußerungen in der Genderdiskussion deutlich, wie nötig das Ganze nach wie vor ist".

Das Gendersternchen ist Teil einer Saisonkampagne des Kiezclubs. Es ist laut Verein auf den Dauerkarten und Kommunikationsflächen zu sehen.

Das Tragen eines solchen Sondertrikots sei möglich geworden durch eine neue Richtlinie der Deutschen Fußball Liga. Demnach dürfen zusätzliche Shirts in dieser Saison getragen werden, sofern sie Diversität oder Nachhaltigkeit zum Thema haben.
