Sie gelten als großes Ski-Traumpaar – jetzt haben die Kanadierin Marie-Michèle Gagnon (33) und der US-Amerikaner Travis Ganong (34) mit einer doppelten Nachricht für reichlich Furore gesorgt.

Neben den Superstars Mikaela Shiffrin und Aleksander Aamodt Kilde sind die beiden wohl das große Traumpaar der Ski-Alpin-Szene.
Abfahrt mit Brautkleid und Anzug
Mit einem spektakulär-überraschenden Video auf Instagram verkündeten Marie-Michèle Gagnon und Travis Ganong nun, dass sie geheiratet haben – und ihre Karriere beenden werden.
Das Video an sich ist schon ein Hingucker. Im Hochzeitslook rasen Gagnon und Ganong die Piste hinab, haben viel Spaß zusammen.
"Symbolischer letzter Lauf in unseren Kostümen! Wir haben übrigens nicht nur geheiratet. Travis und ich sind seit über 15 Jahren und während unserer gesamten Weltcup-Karriere zusammen, deshalb wollten wir diesen Moment gemeinsam mit unseren Familien in Andorra feiern. Vielen Dank an alle, die uns in all den Jahren angefeuert haben“, schrieben sie dazu.
Viele Wintersport-Stars gratulierten unter dem Post. Das Paar hatte sich 2021 in Zermatt am Matterhorn verlobt.

Bald Gagnon-Ganong Zungenbrecher?
Unklar ist, ob die beiden einen Doppelnamen annehmen werden (vermutlich nicht). Darüber hatte ein ZDF-Reporter bereits Anfang 2023 gescherzt. "Wir wollen als Letzte hier noch Marie-Michele Gagnon begleiten. Die Kanadierin ist ja verlobt mit dem amerikanischen Skifahrer Travis Ganong. Ich hoffe, sie entscheidet sich nicht für einen Doppelnamen, das wird heikel für uns Reporter."
