"A Baby is coming" - Peter Dinklage und seine Frau Erica Schmidt erwarten ihr zweites Kind. Auf der Theaterpremiere zu "All The Fine Boys" teilte der "Game of Thrones"-Star sein Glück mit der Öffentlichkeit.
Statt "Winter is coming" heißt es nun "A Baby is coming": "Game of Thrones"-Star Peter Dinklage und seine Ehefrau Erica Schmidt erwarten ein Kind. Dies machte das Paar gestern auf einer Theaterpremiere in New York öffentlich. Dinklage, der durch die Rolle des kleinwüchsigen Tyrion Lannister in "Game of Thrones" bekannt geworden ist, begleitete seine Frau zur Premiere ihres Off-Broadway-Bühnenwerks "All the Fine Boys". Eindeutig war dabei unter dem Kleid der Regisseurin ein Babybäuchlein zu erkennen . Dies ließ laut des amerikanischen Online-Magazins "People" auch die Darsteller des Stücks - unter anderem Hollywood-Star Abigail Breslin - dazu verleiten, ihrer Chefin für Fotos die Hände auf den Bauch zu legen.

Ein Statement zur zweiten Schwangerschaft seiner Ehefrau hat Dinklage noch nicht veröffentlicht - statt Worten ließ er Bilder sprechen: Noch am Tag der Premiere von "All the Fine Boys" teilte der Schauspieler eine Liebeserklärung auf Instagram. Zu einem Foto, das den 41-Jährigen und Schmidt glücklich nach seinem Emmy-Gewinn im vergangenen Jahr zeigt, postete er einen Herz-Emoji.

Der kleinwüchsige Dinklage und seine 33 Zentimeter größere Ehefrau sind seit 2005 verheiratet. Für den "Game Of Thrones"-Darsteller und die Broadway-Regisseurin wird der kommende Nachwuchs bereits das zweite Kind sein: Die beiden sind bereits seit Dezember 2011 Eltern einer Tochter, die den extravaganten Namen Zelig trägt. Ob dem Emmy-Gewinner nach der Geburt seines zweiten Kindes viel Zeit zum Windeln wechseln bleibt, ist fraglich: 2017 muss Dinklage nicht nur die beiden letzten Staffeln der HBO-Erfolgsserie "Game of Thrones" abdrehen - er ist auch für den Actionblockbuster 'Avengers: Infinity War' im Gespräch, der im Mai 2018 in die Kinos kommen soll.
