Schrecksekunde für Alyssa Milano: Die Schauspielerin war mit ihrem Onkel im Auto unterwegs, als dieser plötzlich hinterm Steuer zusammensackte. Die 48-Jährige reagierte blitzschnell.
Schauspielerin Alyssa Milano hatte Glück im Unglück: Die 48-Jährige saß gemeinsam mit ihrem Onkel Mitchell J. Carp im Auto, als dieser am Steuer einen Herzinfarkt erlitt. Laut einer Pressemitteilung der California Highway Patrol, verlor der 63-Jährige bei voller Fahrt auf dem Los Angeles Freeway das Bewusstsein.
Das Auto geriet auf eine andere Spur, Milano versuchte, das Fahrzeug zu stoppen, indem sie die Bremse mit ihrer Hand durchdrückte. Der Wagen kam aber erst zum Stehen, als er in ein vorausfahrendes Auto krachte. Anschließend begann die Schauspielerin sofort mit Wiederbelebungsmaßnahmen bei ihrem Onkel. Schließlich trafen Rettungskräfte ein und brachten ihn in eine Klinik.
Onkel von Alyssa Milano liegt nach Unfall im Krankenhaus
"Onkel Mitch ist so ein wichtiger Teil unserer Familie. Er ist jeden Tag bei uns, er verbringt Zeit mit meinen Kindern und war bei allen bedeutenden Ereignissen unseres Lebens dabei. Er ist immer noch im Krankenhaus und wir wissen nicht, ob er sich erholt", schrieb Milano einen Tag nach dem Unfall in einem Beitrag auf Instagram.

Zudem bedankte sie sich bei den Ersthelfern am Unfallort sowie bei den Ärzten und Krankenschwestern der Klinik, in der ihr Onkel behandelt wird. Für ihre gesamte Familie sei es ein furchteinflößender und traumatische Vorfall gewesen. Die Schauspielerin selbst kam ohne Verletzungen davon und wurde nach dem Crash von ihrem Mann, Künstler-Agent David Bugliari, abgeholt.
Milano nutzte ihre Posting auch für einen Aufruf an ihre drei Millionen Follower. "Nehmt das bitte als Inspiration, um einen Erste-Hilfe-Kurs zu machen. Man weiß nie, wann man ein Leben retten muss. Das Amerikanische Rote Kreuz, viele Krankenhäuser und andere Organisationen bieten regelmäßig Kurse an. Es ist ein so kleiner Aufwand, der eine große Wirkung haben kann."
