Freitag, der 13. wurde für Tamara Ecclestone zum Unglückstag. Eine Diebesbande brach in ihre Luxusvilla im Londoner Viertel Kensington ein und stahl Schmuck im Wert von etwa 50 Millionen Pfund (knapp 60 Millionen Euro). 50 Minuten lang dauerte der Coup.

Während die Diebe ihr Haus ausräumten, weilte die 35-Jährige gerade mit ihrem Ehemann und der gemeinsamen Tochter im Privatjet nach Lappland. Formel-1-Manager Bernie Ecclestone hat jetzt erste Vermutungen zu dem Tathergang und den Hintergründen geäußert. "Ich weiß nicht alle Fakten, aber bei den Sicherheitsvorkehrungen im Haus gehe ich davon aus, dass es ein Inside Job war", sagte der Vater des Opfers. "Es ist schrecklich, dass ihr das passiert ist, nachdem sie gerade auf dem Weg nach Lappland war. Obwohl es vielleicht besser ist, dass sie nicht vor Ort war zu der Zeit."

Laut britischen Medien kletterte die Bande über einen Zaun und verschaffte sich über den Garten Zugang ins Haus. Dort zertrümmerten die Diebe in Schlaf- und Ankleidezimmern mehrere Safes. Offenbar wurde Ecclestones gesamter Schmuck gestohlen. Darunter ein Cartier-Armreif im Wert von 80.000 Pfund, den ihr Ehemann Jay Rutland ihr geschenkt hatte. Anschließend seien die Diebe durch ein offenes Fenster geflohen.
Hochgesicherte Luxusvilla
Der Tathergang ist erstaunlich, zumal Ecclestones Villa rund um die Uhr überwacht wird. Zudem soll ein Wachmann in einem Raum mit Überwachungskameras gesessen haben.
Nachdem der Einbruch publik gemacht wurde, postete das Model auf Instagram einen Bibel-Vers: "Alles, was jetzt noch verborgen ist, wird eines Tages ans Licht kommen, und was jetzt noch ein Geheimnis ist, wird jeder verstehen." Auch ihr Ehemann nutzte Instagram, um sich zu äußern. "Ich weiß, dass du lügst, aber mach nur weiter", schrieb er da.
Klingt so, als glaube auch er an einen Inside Job .
