Nachdem sich der Palast nur sehr sporadisch zum Zustand von Prinzessin Kate äußerte, hat er nun das erste Bild der erkrankten Prinzessin seit einigen Wochen gepostet. Darauf zu sehen ist Catherine mit Prinz Louis, Prinz George und Prinzessin Charlotte.
Die Botschaft scheint klar: Uns geht es (wieder) gut: Nach einigen Wochen, in denen viele Gerüchte um Prinzessin Kate und ihren Gesundheitszustand kursierten, veröffentlichte die Familie ein Bild von Kate mit den drei Kindern, Prinz Louis, Prinz George und Prinzessin Charlotte. Aufgenommen wurde das Foto von Ehemann Prinz William.
Prinzessin Kate: Erstes offizielles Bild seit Operation
Der Anlass ist nicht ohne Grund gewählt. In Großbritannien wird heute der Muttertag gefeiert. "Vielen Dank für Ihre freundlichen Wünsche und Ihre kontinuierliche Unterstützung in den letzten zwei Monaten. Ich wünsche allen einen schönen Muttertag. C", steht zu dem Bild auf Instagram geschrieben. Wie das C für Catherine zeigt, kommen die Worte direkt von der Prinzessin.

Darauf hatten ihre Fans lange gewartet. In den vergangenen Wochen machten Gerüchte um den Zustand der Prinzessin die Runde. Eine spanische Journalistin behauptete, die zukünftige Königin liege im Koma. Sie meinte, die Informationen direkt aus dem Palast erhalten zu haben, der diese jedoch abstritt. Vergangene Woche machte dann das erste Paparazzo-Bild von Kate mit ihrer Mutter Carole Middleton die Runde. Die britische Presse entschloss sich, das Foto nicht zu veröffentlichen und bezog sich auf den Schutz der Privatsphäre.

Viel kritisiert wurde die Kommunikationsstrategie des Kensington Palastes, nachdem Prinz William kurzfristig seine Teilnahme an einer Trauerfeier abgesagt hatte und persönliche Gründe angab. Auf Nachfrage einiger britischer Medien gab der Palast direkt darauf bekannt, dass sich Kate weiter erhole und es ihr gut ginge. Beruhigt waren die Gemüter aber dennoch nicht. Jetzt beweist das Ehepaar Wales: Kate und dem Rest der Familie geht es gut.
