Jahrelang hat der britische TV-Koch Gordon Ramsay über Veganer hergezogen. In einem Instagram-Post startet er nun selber einen Versuch, vegan zu essen. Wird er zum Lifestyle-Veganer?
Von Gordon Ramsay kann man halten, was man will. Er flucht, ist aggressiv und bekannt für seine Ausraster - vor allem im Fernsehen. Doch ist er auch ein ziemlich erfolgreicher Koch, ein reicher Unternehmer und ein Star. Zumindest in Großbritannien und den englischsprachigen Ländern. Seinen Ruhm verdankt er seinen Kochkünsten und seinem unternehmerischen Geschick: Zeitweise trugen seine 18 Restaurants, die er in Großbritannien, den USA, Japan und Dubai betreibt, insgesamt 15 Michelin-Sterne.

Wird Ramsay Veganer?
In einem Instagram-Post lässt der temperamentvolle TV-Koch nun seine Follower wissen, dass er dem veganen Lifestyle eine Chance geben möchte: "Going to give this vegan thing a try ... Yes guys you heard that right". Bislang ging Ramsay mit Veganern eher ruppig um, seine Fans sind deshalb eher verwundert vom Sinneswandeln. Aber hat er in seinem Post wirklich gemeint, dass er Veganer wird? Das ist zu bezweifeln. Denn Ramsay ist großer Freund von Fleisch und Fischgerichten. Die Ernährungsumstellung würde einfach nicht zu ihm passen.
Man kann eher davon ausgehen, dass Ramsay sein neues Pizza-Restaurant, das in London eröffnet hat, bewerben will. Dort gibt es neben Pizza mit Fleisch und Gemüse nun auch eine vegane Variante.
Wie Gordon Ramsay das Essen seiner Fans fertig macht
"Es sieht so aus, als wäre den Katzen über dem Salat schlecht geworden." Könnte sein.

Im Februar hat Ramsay noch einen Anti-Veganer-Witz bei Twitter gepostet: "I'm a member of PETA - People Eating Tasting Animals", übersetzt: "Ich bin ein Mitglied von PETA - Menschen essen gutschmeckende Tiere".
Nicht nur gegen Veganer pöbelt der TV-Koch gern. Seine vulgäre Sprache und der permanente Gebrauch des Wortes "Fuck" ist berüchtigt. Auf einem ungewöhnlichen Weg sucht er seit einiger Zeit die Nähe zu seinen Fans. Auf Twitter . Er gibt seinen Senf zu den Kochversuchen seiner Follower dazu. Das Urteil des Starkochs fällt dabei keineswegs positiv aus, sondern ist gehässig, manchmal sogar schon gemein. Seine Fans aber lieben ihn dafür.
