Überglücklich war Sarah Engels über die Geburt ihrer Tochter - und gab ein Teil ihres Glücks weiter: Zusammen mit ihrem Mann Julian unterstützt sie ein Wasserprojekt in Afrika.
Der 2. Dezember war ein ganz besonderer Tag im Leben von Sarah Engels und ihrem Mann Julian: Da kam das gemeinsame Töchterchen Solea Liana auf die Welt. Es ist für die Sängerin bereits das zweite Kind, die aus ihrer ersten Ehe mit Pietro Lombardi bereits den gemeinsamen Sohn Alessio hat. "Papa , Mama und dein großer Bruder lieben dich unendlich und sind voller Glück und Stolz", schrieb die 29-Jährige auf Instagram.
Frei nach dem Motto "geteilte Freude ist doppelte Freude", hat das Paar die Geburt ihrer Tochter mit einer guten Tat verbunden und Geld für ein karitatives Projekt gespendet: "Wasser ist Leben, und daher bewirkt unser kleiner Neugeborener Engel - Solea Liana - jetzt schon ganz Großes", schrieb Engels auf ihrer Instagram-Seite. "Es wurde auf ihren Namen ein Brunnen mit frischem Trinkwasser, ausreichend für ein ganzes Dorf in Uganda, gebaut."
Sarah Engels denkt in ihrem Glück an andere Menschen
Die erfolgreiche Popsängerin ist sich ihrer privilegierten Situation bewusst: "Eine warme Mahlzeit, Windeln, Babyspielzeug oder Kleidung sind für uns oft selbstverständlich, aber für ein Dorf in Uganda eine Riesen Bereicherung". Es sei für sie und ihren Mann ein Geschenk zu sehen, dass "Soleas Sonnenstrahlen bis auf die andere Seite der Welt scheinen".

Der Name Solea kommt aus dem Französischen beziehungsweise Spanischen und steht für das Wort Sonne ( französisch "soleil", spanisch "soleado" = sonnig). Der Name Liana geht auf das Wort "iovilius" zurück, was übersetzt "dem Jupiter geweiht" bedeutet.
Bei ihren Fans kam das großzügige Projekt gut an. Mehr als 100.000 Follower likten den Post innerhalb der ersten zwölf Stunden, die Kommentare sind fast zu 100 Prozent positiv: "Unglaublich toll! Mehr von solch warmherzigen Menschen bitte!", schrieb eine Anhängerin stellvertretend für viele Reaktionen.
